I apologise for the lack of posts...
Life has gotten in the way and crafting has yet again taken a back seat!
However as the end of Nevember approached I knew that this would have to change as the Stampin' Up! European Convention was approaching
and this year I was beside myself with excitement as it was held in Manchester!

Of course this meant that I would be able to save money and stay at home! and miss all the fun please!
Off the the Premier Inn Karyn and I went for three days of crafting heaven!

I decided that this year I was not going to take part in the general swaps as I didn't have the time - so I took part in the Julies Jems team gift swap...

I bought some notebooks and covered the front
As always on the last minute and I did not decide what I was going to do until the week before and I had to make 33 of them! LOL
I will never change - but still work well under pressure!
It was noted that I did not complete them until the EVENING as I was going to the hotel! HOORAH!

This first picture is me deciding the layout for the book

This second picture is the finished design...

Here they are piled up ready to be packed!

I have used...

top note die
world map stamp
flower shop stamp set
matching punch
large perals
vintage buttons
moring post numbers

I hope you like the gift I made for the Julies Jems
I received some beautiful gifts in return and will share some of these with you another day!

thank you for visiting

Today I am sharing with you a card that I have made for friends that recently got married...
The artisan embellishment is perfect for such a card and there are so many lovely elements that I cannot wait to use!

So for my card I decided that I would use the beautiful lace as the focal point for the card and the heart shaped doily, I added the ticket sentiment and I used some of the silver glitter paper for the mat layer... placed on whisper white. Around the edge of the card I added some dazzling details for that extra sparkle

A close up of the centre of the card

A close up of the edge of the card...
and all the different layers

I hope you like my card and thanks for looking as always your comments are appreciated! Welcome to my new followers too - nice to see you x

Inspiration Table...

I am sharing today the recent makes that I made for my inspiration table at our team training!

It was decided that the theme for the day would be
so all our swaps were male themed...

I decided to keep my inspiration male themed too

I was tasked with doing

for my stampset I chose
and the DSP was
(if you would like to order these please get in touch!)

and here is what I came up with...

I love working with the set - although I did struggle at first as there was only one boy stamp... However I soon got over this and I think I did him justice!
I had some lovely comments on the projects that I completed and loved doing them - it certainly gives you the focus that you sometimes need to get crafty!

Some of the cards that I have made for my table...

2 scrapbook layouts and a door hanger!

two covered notebooks...

I hope that you like my projects and I have made myself the promise that I am going to dedicate more time to my SU blog as I have loved working with this stamp set - so I will be sharing more over the coming weeks...

If you would like any further details please ask

CG Scrapbook Challenge

Apologies for this not being posted sooner - blogger is not being nice and I have struggled with a lot of posts and getting my images on...

This is my first challenge for CG Scrapbook Challenge and I am offering the prize...
Those of you that know me will know that as a crafter I love all that is Stampin' Up! from the card, DSP, ink and embellishments!

So the prize that I am offering is perfect for scrapbooking...
A Stampset of sentiments, a reel of ribbon and a tub of clips.

This months challenge is to create a layout that is

SO here is what I have done

a close up of the printed sentiment

a close up of the images

I have kept the layout very simple just using some dotty DSP from stampin up and distressing the images slightly, I didn't think it needed anything else!

I hope that you will join in the challenge this month! Cannot wait to see what you create. Thanks for stopping by and apologies again for how late this is!

Julie's Jems BLOG HOP...

you will have joined me this morning from Julie's blog and what great projects she had to share I am sure that you will agree...

the canvas

My first project is a very quick canvas - inked with with a sponge and then I have added flowers and a sentiment with crystal effects - I love this effect and so pleased with how it turned out - stamped on the roll they use on the beds at physio - very thick (only I have lay on it!) I added three buttons...

the flowers

the sentiment

My second project...

I have stamped the phonebox from 'feeling sentimental' in chocolate chip on VV card with the sentiment underneath it. I have added DSP detail to the edge of thee card and also three buttons - added to a chocolate chip card blank. A very simple card but love the effect of the DSP

My final project is another card using 'feeling sentimental'

I have used rich razzleberry with VV for this colour combination and I think they look great together for a male card
I have added pearls around the image and have used DSP to the left hand side of the card... I have tried to match it up to the layer below...
Did it work??

I have finally managed to get around to finding the time to craft just for fun... I have used 'bloomin marvelous' one of the new SAB sets that is available for the next couple of months when you spend £45 on products from either of the catalogues...

I have kept them single layer something I very rarely do and I am really pleased with the results! What do you think??

I have randomly stamped the butterflies - stamping them off as I went up the card and then I inked the edges of the card. The sentiment is from the same set also, I love the font that they have chosen... I have then added dazzling details to the ATC and smudged it to blur the images slightly - love the effect that this creates...

I have stamped the bird in three colours and then added 3 contrasting subtle brads to opposing corners of the ATC. Again inking the edges and adding the sentiment to the top ad the bottom

I love this one!
randomly stamped flowers all over the left hand side of the the blank. Adding the leaf detail as well
The sentiment added to the right side and inking the edges
I added three more flowers with dimensionals for some depth. I added some dazzling details to the centre of some flowers also...

stamps - bloomin marvelous
accessories - dazzling details
ink - raspberry ripple, summer starfruit, gumball green, rich razzleberry

I hope you like them and thank you for looking...
